SICK, INC. V4000 PPRESS BRAKE SAFE GUARDING SYSTEM "Productive, Safe, Simple & Revolutionary" The Sick, Inc. V4000 Press Brake Safe Guarding System is a camera-based system for complete safeguarding of press brakes. It is an all inclusive sensor and evaluation system, consisting of a sender and a receiver mounted on the upper beam of the press. The V4000 safeguards the area beneath the punch during the hazardous part of the cycle by creating a safety volume directly below the punch. Any infringement into the safety volume generates a two-channel signal to stop the machine. The resolution is better than 14 mm. Two Interface systems are available for most Press Brakes. Both interface systems are designed specifically to work with the existing hydraulic press brake control. The Manual Mode Switch Interface consists of an Operator Interface Pendant that provides access to all the features of the V4000 safety system. With the Manual Mode Switch Interface the operator can easily perform the V4000 Set-Up Procedure, as well as select the desired V4000 Operation Mode. The Automatic Mode Switch Interface allows the operator to program the sequence between Standard, Box, and Back Gauge modes optimizing safety and productivity. Once a first article is programmed, the interface retains the sequence needed to repeat the part, and cycles automatically between Standard / Box / & Back Gauge Mode. The intuitive nature of the interface creates an operator friendly environment. There is no need to by-pass the safety features of the V4000 Safe Camera unit as is the case with other similar devices. The combination of the Sick V4000 Safe Camera, and the Paragon Industrial Controls Interface, creates a unique system that is the MOST SAFE and EASILY OPERATED Press Brake Safety System available on the market today.
